Eintracht Frankfurt have sent right-back Ouassim Karada to FC Hansa Rostock on a season-long loan. The 20-year-old will spend the upcoming campaign with the third-tier club after joining the Bundesliga side from Kickers Offenbach earlier this summer.

The agreement runs for one year and notably excludes any option to buy. This arrangement reflects Frankfurt’s view of the defender as a future prospect rather than immediate first-team cover, ensuring they retain control of his long-term development while he gains vital match experience elsewhere.

From Regional League to Bundesliga Academy

Karada only recently completed his permanent move to Frankfurt, with the Hessen club paying approximately €300,000 to secure his services from regional league outfit Kickers Offenbach. During his final season with Offenbach, the right-footed full-back made 35 appearances, contributing one goal and eight assists from defensive positions.

His offensive output suggests an attack-minded profile suited to modern full-back demands. Frankfurt moved quickly to secure his signature despite interest potentially building after such productive displays in the fourth tier, viewing him as a valuable investment for their youth-to-first-team pipeline.

Development Path in the 3. Liga

By sending Karada to the 3. Liga, Frankfurt aim to provide the young defender with regular senior football against physically robust opposition. Hansa Rostock, a former East German champion now competing in the third division, will benefit from his energy and crossing ability throughout the campaign.

The step up from the regional leagues to the national third tier will test his defensive discipline against more organised attacks while allowing him to maintain the attacking contributions that marked him out as a prospect. The lack of a purchase clause ensures Karada remains Frankfurt property beyond this season. Upon completing his temporary spell in Rostock, he is expected to return to the Bundesliga club to continue his progression through their talent development system.
