Directors from Fiorentina and Burnley will hold a decisive meeting on Monday, July 6, to finalise the transfer of Italy international winger Luca Koleosho. The Serie A side have submitted a formal offer worth €11 million plus add-ons, with reports suggesting the Championship club are ready to accept the proposal.
The 21-year-old is close to reaching a personal agreement with the Viola and is reportedly convinced by the project in Tuscany. Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, Koleosho holds an Italian passport and made his senior Azzurri debut in June 2026, earning two caps under caretaker coach Silvio Baldini against Luxembourg and Greece. He also possesses Nigerian and Canadian citizenship, providing multiple international options at senior level.
Koleosho recently returned to Burnley following a loan spell with Paris FC during the second half of the 2025-26 season. While in France, he netted three times and laid on one assist across 16 Ligue 1 outings. He originally arrived at Turf Moor from Espanyol in 2023 for a €3 million fee, meaning the potential transfer would represent a significant return on investment for the Lancashire side.
Despite his contract running until June 2029, Burnley appear willing to sanction his departure. Koleosho has accumulated experience across multiple top European leagues, having featured in the Premier League, Championship and La Liga, though he has yet to play in Serie A.
Primarily a right winger, the versatile attacker can also operate on the left flank or in a central trequartista role. The move would provide Koleosho with his first taste of Italian football after representing Italy at various youth levels. Neither club has issued an official statement regarding the negotiations, but personal terms are not expected to prove problematic once the fee is agreed.
