Inter Milan have reached agreements to extend the contracts of defender Yann Bisseck and forward Francesco Pio Esposito until the summer of 2031. The deals represent a significant step in the club’s long-term planning following a frustrating transfer window.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano published on Saturday, both players are set to commit their futures to the Nerazzurri for an additional six years. The developments offer stability after a summer that saw defensive prospect Marco Palestra depart for Chelsea and a proposed move for wing-back Anan Khalaili collapse.
Bisseck set for substantial pay rise
German defender Bisseck, who currently earns €1.5 million net per season, stands to receive a significant salary increase under the terms of the new agreement. The 25-year-old centre-back had been one of the lowest-paid members of the first-team squad despite establishing himself as a reliable rotational option in defence.
Bisseck’s existing arrangement runs until 2029, but the fresh terms will extend his stay at San Siro by a further two seasons. The former Aarhus player attracted tentative interest from Bayern Munich earlier in the transfer window, though no formal bid emerged to tempt him away from Serie A.
Homegrown talent secured
Striker Esposito, a product of the Inter youth academy, is also expected to formalise his extension shortly.
