Richarlison has emerged as a target for Juventus as the Brazil forward enters the final year of his Tottenham contract. The Serie A side are monitoring the player, who is now valued at approximately €25 million according to reports from Italy.

The forward moved to Tottenham from Everton in 2022 for an initial fee that could eventually total €70 million when including various bonuses. However, he has struggled to establish himself as a consistent first-choice starter during his time at the club. Current Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi does not consider Richarlison central to his tactical plans, and the player is reportedly seeking a fresh start following a difficult period in London.

Spalletti’s squad overhaul

Bianconeri coach Luciano Spalletti has been unambiguous regarding his squad requirements ahead of the new campaign. “Our squad needs to be strengthened or improved, and in some areas even completed. We have to do important work, and it will be done,” he stated publicly. Richarlison’s current salary, which stands at just over €3 million net per season, sits comfortably within Juventus’ financial means.

The striker is not short of alternative suitors. Turkish side Fenerbahce have also registered firm interest in securing his signature, with reports suggesting they could offer particularly lucrative personal terms. Despite this competition, Richarlison is understood to hold positive associations with Juventus, having trained at the club’s Continassa facility in 2022 while preparing for the World Cup with Brazil.

Existing connections

Any potential negotiation could be facilitated by an existing relationship between the clubs. De Zerbi and Juventus chief executive Giovanni Carnevali worked together previously at Sassuolo, and this connection may serve as a useful bridge during discussions over the Brazilian’s transfer.

Nevertheless, Richarlison remains one of several attacking options under consideration. Juventus continue to prioritise moves for Randal Kolo Muani and Mateo Pellegrino as they look to bolster their forward line before the transfer window closes. No formal bid has yet been confirmed, and the situation remains in the monitoring phase as the Italian club assess their resources.
