Randal Kolo Muani is reportedly training with Paris Saint-Germain’s Under-19 squad as the French champions look to force through his departure from the club. The situation underlines the striker’s exclusion from Luis Enrique’s first-team plans whilst Juventus continue their pursuit of a permanent deal.

The France international spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at the Allianz Stadium, where he established himself as a key figure in the Bianconeri’s attack. His performances during that spell have made him the Italian club’s top attacking target for the current transfer window, though securing his signature has proven complicated.

PSG have taken a hardline approach with players surplus to requirements. Both Kolo Muani and Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches have been instructed to find new clubs, with the club pushing them into the youth setup to emphasise their lack of first-team prospects for the upcoming season.

Valuation gap stalls negotiations

Financial disagreement remains the primary obstacle to Kolo Muani’s return to Turin. Juventus have submitted an offer worth €35 million, significantly short of the €55 million valuation placed upon the forward by PSG. This €20 million disparity has prevented any imminent breakthrough despite the player’s apparent willingness to rejoin the Serie A side.

The stand-off leaves the 26-year-old in professional limbo, training away from the senior squad whilst his representatives work to resolve his future. Juventus are exploring various payment structures to bridge the gap, but PSG have shown no indication of lowering their demands.

Contingency plans activated

With the transfer window progressing and no resolution in sight, Juventus are simultaneously assessing alternatives. Parma forward Mateo Pellegrino has emerged as a candidate should negotiations for Kolo Muani collapse entirely.

The Bianconeri remain hopeful of securing their primary target, however. Kolo Muani’s familiarity with the club, coupled with his successful loan spell, makes him the preferred option to strengthen their attacking line. Yet the deal can only proceed if Juventus increase their bid or negotiate terms that satisfy PSG’s financial requirements before the window closes.
