Speaking on the Bayern Insider podcast, Falk contradicted earlier reports that monetary disputes had collapsed negotiations between the parties. “I heard that very clearly from him,” Falk stated, confirming that a potential switch to Turin would not fail due to excessive demands from the player’s camp.
Falk emphasised that Goretzka had earned a significantly higher annual salary during his final seasons at Bayern Munich than the terms currently under discussion with Juventus. This substantial difference indicates the Germany international is prepared to accept reduced wages to secure regular first-team football following his departure from Bavaria.
Juventus planning complications
Whether the deal ultimately materialises depends largely on Juventus’s broader recruitment strategy and squad composition. The Turin club are simultaneously monitoring former Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessié, creating a selection dilemma as they decide which experienced midfielder to prioritise.
