He believes that his best form is within reach and that a goal is imminent. “I’m looking for my best version and I’ll find it soon. I believe that goal will come in the next game,” he added. He also stressed the importance of maintaining mental composure, stating that players must “stay calm, mentally, so that it doesn’t weigh on you. You have to keep working and improving.” For Diaz, the issue is primarily about converting opportunities. “I know it’s just about finishing my chances. The only thing missing is the finishing, and then everything will be good.”

The upcoming fixture against 1. FC Union Berlin presents an opportunity for Diaz to break his duck. The forward is particularly keen to score against Union, a team against whom he netted a memorable goal last season. His spectacular strike against them was recognised as the 2025 Goal of the Year in Germany, a moment he clearly cherishes.
Recalling that spectacular effort, Diaz described it as one of the best goals of his career, evoking memories of playing street football as a child. He noted, “That was a street football goal.
