Reims general manager Mathieu Lacour has confirmed that while Nakamura is free to negotiate an exit, the deal must satisfy all parties. Lacour explained: “We have a verbal agreement with him; he has been granted permission to leave, but the player must still be satisfied, and Stade de Reims must also benefit from the deal.”
This stance indicates that Reims will hold out for an acceptable fee and require the player’s approval of the destination. With Marseille struggling to meet financial demands and English clubs circling, the coming weeks will prove crucial in determining Nakamura’s future.
