The 2026 FIFA World Cup final will feature a halftime show for the first time in the tournament’s history. FIFA announced in May that global superstars Madonna, Shakira and BTS will headline the spectacle, and bookmakers have now opened markets allowing supporters to wager on how the performances will unfold.
FanDuel Sportsbook released odds on 7 July covering various elements of the show, including which songs each act will perform first and whether special guests will appear on stage. The markets follow a format similar to Super Bowl halftime betting.
Song Selection Markets
For Korean group BTS, “Hooligan” leads the betting at +170, followed by “IDOL” at +250. “Run BTS” and “Into the Sun” both stand at +340, while their global hit “Dynamite” is priced at +430.
Shakira’s shortest odds are for “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” at +300—a nod to her official 2010 World Cup anthem—with “Hips Don’t Lie” close behind at +340. “Loca” sits at +750, while “La Tortura” is a longer shot at +1400.
Madonna’s betting is headed by “Bring Your Love” at -125, indicating strong favour from the bookmakers. “I Feel So Free” follows at +195, while classics such as “Like A Prayer” and “Vogue” are priced at +340 and +500 respectively.
Special Guest Appearances
Nigerian superstar Burna Boy is the clear favourite to feature as a special guest at -160. Coldplay’s Chris Martin follows at -125, with Justin Bieber listed at +150. Beyoncé and The Weeknd both appear at +340, while Sabrina Carpenter sits at +430.
Bookmakers have also set a market on the total number of songs performed during the show, with the line fixed at 8.5. Both over and under options are priced at -110.
Break with Tradition
The addition of a halftime show marks a significant departure from previous World Cup finals, which have traditionally focused solely on the match without mid-game entertainment. FIFA confirmed the headliners in May, with the betting markets opening two months later as anticipation builds for the expanded tournament.
