Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a fourth bid for Monaco attacking midfielder Maghnes Akliouche after seeing three previous approaches turned down by the Ligue 1 club.
The French champions have identified the 24-year-old as a priority target this summer. Their latest rejected offer was approximately €40 million, well below the €70 million valuation set by Monaco. The new proposal is expected to reach around €50 million, though this remains short of the asking price.
Liverpool enter the race
The situation has become more complicated for PSG with the emergence of competition from England. Liverpool have made enquiries regarding Akliouche’s availability in recent days, potentially setting up a bidding war for the playmaker.
The Reds’ interest provides Monaco with additional leverage as they hold firm on their €70 million demand. The Principality side have shown no inclination to lower their price despite PSG’s persistence.
Transfer standoff
Akliouche, a product of the Monaco academy, has developed into a key creative presence for the team. His performances have elevated his status in the transfer market, justifying the club’s reluctance to accept reduced fees.
