Roma are accelerating their pursuit of attacking reinforcements, with representatives for West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville already in the Italian capital and the club submitting formal offers for both Alejandro Garnacho and Diego Moreira.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Summerville’s agents are currently in Rome and are expected to hold discussions with Giallorossi directors in the coming days. The representatives share a connection with Lazio-bound defender Danilo Doekhi, who is undergoing medical examinations with the Biancocelesti before completing a free transfer.
Summerville chase heats up
The Serie A side have already sounded out West Ham regarding the Netherlands international’s availability this summer. Summerville arrived at the London Stadium from Leeds United last year, and Roma are now exploring whether a deal can be struck to bring the winger to the Stadio Olimpico.
The presence of the player’s representatives in Rome suggests formal negotiations could commence shortly, although the Hammers’ stance on a potential sale remains to be seen.
Chelsea owner considers duo proposals
Alongside their interest in Summerville, Roma have tabled offers for Garnacho and Moreira. Both proposals are being assessed by Behdad Eghbali, the Chelsea co-owner who also holds a controlling interest in Strasbourg through the same ownership group.
Super agent Jorge Mendes, who represents both Garnacho and Moreira, is currently in discussions with Eghbali as he attempts to secure approval for the transfers to proceed. The involvement of a single decision-maker for both target players could streamline negotiations, though no agreements have been reached at this stage.
Roma’s recruitment team are prioritising the addition of wide attacking options as they reshape their squad for the upcoming campaign. The club are working on multiple fronts simultaneously, though it remains unclear which of the three targets represents the most advanced deal.
