Chelsea have reportedly ended their pursuit of Reims goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen and will instead turn to Strasbourg’s Mike Penders as their new second-choice keeper this summer.
Chelsea have entered the race to sign highly-rated Stade de Reims goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen after the 20-year-old French youth international visited the club’s facilities. The promising shot-stopper was previously linked with a move to Newcastle United, with the Ligue 2 side demanding €25 million for his signature.
Stade de Reims have decided to part ways with manager Karel Geraerts after failing to secure promotion from Ligue 2. Former Pau boss Nicolas Usai is set to take charge at the French club.
