Toulouse FC Face Le Mans FC Amid Contrasting Fortunes
Toulouse FC are set to visit Le Mans FC on Friday night, with both teams approaching the fixture under different circumstances regarding squad availability. Toulouse manager Jens Berthel Askou boasts a full complement of players, presenting him with a wide array of options. In contrast, Le Mans FC will be without several key figures due to injury.
The match will also see Djibril Sidibé line up for Le Mans against his former club, Toulouse FC, adding an intriguing subplot to the encounter.
Toulouse FC’s Full Strength Squad
Jens Berthel Askou’s Toulouse side arrives at the fixture in a strong position, with no reported injury concerns across the squad. This full availability allows Askou flexibility in his selection as they aim to build on their recent performance.
Toulouse FC’s last outing saw them secure a hard-fought 2-2 draw away against AS Monaco. For the upcoming match, the team is expected to deploy a 4-4-2 formation. Alexis Vossah and Cristian Casseres, both reportedly in good form, are anticipated to start in midfield. However, Sion Oppong and Mathis Amougou are considered unlikely to feature in the starting eleven.
Le Mans FC Grapple with Injuries
Le Mans FC manager Patrick Videira faces a more challenging task in team selection, with a number of players sidelined. Midfielder Adil Bourabaa is a significant absentee, with reports suggesting his injury may require surgery, potentially ruling him out until the New Year. Adding to their woes, Martin Rossignol and Erwan Colas are also confirmed to miss the Friday night clash.
Despite the injury concerns, Le Mans will look to their attacking duo of Louis Mafouta and Dame Gueye, who are expected to lead the line. The return of Djibril Sidibé to face his former employers will be a point of interest for fans, as he is expected to start for Le Mans FC.
