Udinese are preparing a €6 million offer for Partizan Belgrade midfielder Ognjen Ugresic as the Italian club seeks to strengthen their squad following the departure of Arthur Atta to Fiorentina. The Friulani have identified the Serbia international as the ideal candidate to fill the void left by Atta’s recent transfer.
According to transfer reports, Udinese have made the 19-year-old a priority target ahead of the new season. Ugresic, who will celebrate his 20th birthday next week, has attracted significant attention across Europe after breaking into Partizan’s senior squad in January 2025 and earning his first senior cap for Serbia in October 2025.
Udinese enter crowded race
The proposed €6m bid would exceed a previous €5m offer from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo, placing Udinese in a strong position to negotiate with the Serbian club. However, securing the player’s signature remains far from straightforward given the level of competition.
Bologna have also registered interest in the attacking midfielder, while clubs from outside Italy are monitoring developments closely. Club Brugge, Eintracht Frankfurt and AS Monaco have all been linked with moves for the Partizan academy graduate, creating a crowded marketplace for one of the Serbian SuperLiga’s most promising talents.
Rapid rise to prominence
Ugresic’s progression through the Partizan Belgrade youth system has been swift. Having earned his senior debut in January 2025, he received his first international call-up within months, making his Serbia debut in October 2025.
Primarily deployed as an attacking midfielder, the youngster is capable of operating in more advanced positions when required. His versatility and technical quality have marked him as a player capable of making the step up to one of Europe’s major leagues.
Next steps
With multiple clubs circling, Udinese hope their €6m proposal will prove sufficient to convince Partizan to sell. The coming days are likely to prove decisive as the Serbian club weighs offers from Serie A and beyond.
The transfer would represent a significant career progression for Ugresic, offering the opportunity to test himself in Italian football while providing Udinese with a young, internationally-capped replacement for their departed midfielder.
