Venezia have finalised an agreement to sign striker Albion Rrahmani from Sparta Prague for a total fee of €9.5 million. The newly promoted Serie A side will pay €7.5 million upfront, with a further €2 million available in performance-related add-ons. Sparta Prague have also negotiated a 10 per cent sell-on clause, ensuring they receive a share of any future transfer fee.

The Kosovo international, who turns 26 next month, arrived at the Czech club from Rapid 1923 two years ago in a deal worth €5 million. During his time in Prague, the centre-forward established himself as a reliable scorer in both domestic and European competitions.

Prague performances

Rrahmani registered 16 goals and supplied four assists across 49 competitive appearances for Sparta Prague last season. Four of those goals came in 13 UEFA Conference League outings, demonstrating his capability on the continental stage alongside his domestic contributions.

Since earning his senior debut for Kosovo in September 2023, the forward has accumulated seven goals in 25 international appearances.

Return to the top flight

The signing marks a statement of intent from Venezia as they prepare for life back in Serie A. The club secured automatic promotion by winning the Serie B title, earning an immediate return to the top division following a solitary season in the second tier under head coach Giovanni Stroppa.

The Veneto side will hope Rrahmani’s physical presence and proven goal-scoring record can translate effectively to the Italian top flight. His arrival addresses the need for attacking reinforcements as Venezia assemble a squad capable of competing against Serie A opposition.
