Bayern Munich centre-back Jonathan Tah says his team will stick to their attacking style for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain. The Bundesliga side lost the first match 5-4 in France last week.
Speaking to the media before Wednesday’s clash, Tah rejected the idea of playing defensively to protect their goal. He explained that changing their approach would be a mistake.
“Our way of playing has brought us this far. It makes no sense to change it now,” he said. “We want to play attractive, attacking football. It is difficult, but that is our style.”
The defender added that he feels excitement rather than pressure ahead of the big game. He remembered that football is about enjoyment and passion.
Tah also spoke about stopping PSG’s threats. He noted that the French team moves players around the pitch frequently. He said Bayern must be aggressive, win tackles, and collect second balls. Avoiding counter-attacks will be crucial.
Finally, Tah asked the home supporters to produce a loud and special atmosphere at the stadium. He believes the fans can help the team overcome the first-leg defeat.
