Turkish champions Galatasaray are preparing a major bid to bring Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Can Uzun back to his homeland. Reports indicate the Istanbul giants have allocated €40 million to push through a deal for the highly-rated youngster.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has caught the eye of scouts across Europe following strong displays in the Bundesliga. However, Frankfurt’s failure to secure a spot in continental competition next term has placed the club under pressure to sell their key asset.

Uzun initially joined the German outfit from 1. FC Nürnberg just two years ago for a modest fee of €11 million. Now, sporting director Markus Krösche is asking for €60 million for the Turkey international. This would generate a significant profit for the Hessen-based side.

The race for Uzun’s signature is heating up. Several English teams have shown interest, while Italian heavyweights SSC Napoli and AC Milan continue to monitor developments. The midfielder’s price could climb even higher if he shines for Turkey at the 2026 World Cup.

With three years remaining on his current deal, Frankfurt hold a firm position at the negotiating table. Even so, Galatasaray’s financial power and the player’s Turkish heritage could prove crucial in this transfer battle.
