Pietuszewski’s potential move to Germany comes less than a year after he arrived at the Estádio do Dragão. Porto paid €8 million to secure the left-sided attacker from Polish club Jagiellonia in January 2024, an investment that already appears astute given his rapid integration into the first team.
The 18-year-old has adapted swiftly to Liga Portugal, managing three goals in 16 league appearances. His contributions include a notable strike against domestic rivals Benfica, demonstrating his capacity to perform in high-pressure fixtures. At international level, he has earned four caps for Poland’s senior side, marking him as a prospect of genuine pedigree.
Bayern Munich enter the race
Dortmund are not the only German club tracking Pietuszewski’s development. Bayern Munich are also exploring the possibility of securing the teenager’s services, adding further complexity to any potential transfer. With two of the Bundesliga’s most powerful clubs expressing concrete interest, Porto may feel emboldened to maintain their firm stance on the release clause.
