The summer transfer window is drawing near, and rumours about Angelo Stiller’s future are growing louder. The VfB Stuttgart midfielder has attracted strong interest from Italian giants Juventus.

Recent media reports claimed that Juventus had already spoken with Stiller’s agents about a possible switch to Serie A. However, Stuttgart have not received any formal approach from the Turin club or any other team.

Alexander Wehrle, the chairman of Stuttgart, addressed these claims during an appearance on the Sport1 Doppelpass programme on Sunday. He made it clear that no club has contacted him about the 23-year-old.

“Throughout the period I have worked with Angelo Stiller, I have seen new stories about him appear every few weeks. The truth is that nobody has called me about him. I have also not got anything in writing,” Wehrle stated.

He stressed how valuable Stiller is to the team. “Angelo is an extremely important member of our squad. We do not want to talk about the idea of him leaving at all.”

Stiller signed a long-term deal with Stuttgart that keeps him at the club until 2028. This gives the Bundesliga side a strong position as they look to ward off interest from top European clubs.
