Germany national team coach Jürgen Klopp has unveiled his 23-player squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures in November. The announcement sees a notable absence of players from Italy’s Serie A, including Nick Woltemade and Yann-Aurel Bisseck, who were part of previous selections.
This marks Klopp’s second squad selection since his appointment as Germany’s head coach in July. His initial call-up for the September-October international break featured a much larger group of 44 players, divided into two sections, offering a broad opportunity for evaluation. The current 23-man roster reflects a significant streamlining of that initial pool.
Upcoming Nations League Fixtures
Germany faces two crucial matches in the Nations League this November. The team will travel to play Serbia away on November 13, followed by a home fixture against the Netherlands on November 16. These matches represent the final pair of group stage encounters in the competition.
Notable Omissions
The decision to exclude all Serie A players is a key talking point from Klopp’s latest selection. Both Nick Woltemade and Yann-Aurel Bisseck, who ply their trade in Italy, had been included in Germany’s national team squad for the September and October international breaks. However, neither player has made the cut for the November fixtures.
