Lille OSC manager Bruno Genesio appears ready to end his time at the French club when the current season finishes. According to reports from L’Équipe, the coach will depart even if the team secures a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

The Frenchman’s current agreement runs out in June. He stated last week that discussions about a new deal have not started. This silence suggests he will leave the Ligue 1 side after their final match.

Lille are not waiting to find a replacement. The club has begun searching for a new boss to lead them in European competition next term. Stéphane Dumont has support from people inside the club. However, he recently helped ESTAC Troyes gain promotion to the top division. Because Troyes belong to the City Football Group, they will probably keep him for the new campaign.

Thiago Motta also appears on their list. The former midfielder is not the main target at this moment, but remains an alternative choice.

Meanwhile, Genesio’s future interests other French clubs. Both Olympique de Marseille and OGC Nice are thinking about changing their managers this summer. They have identified Genesio as a possible option to take charge of their teams.
