Olympique de Marseille have already begun their search for a new boss despite the campaign still running. Habib Beye remains in the dugout for now, but his position is under serious threat.

The French coach joined the Stade Vélodrome side in February after Roberto De Zerbi left. The board gave Beye two clear targets: qualify for the UEFA Champions League and reach the final of the Coupe de France. He has failed to deliver on both counts.

Changes will also happen above the manager. Grégory Lorenzi is set to become the new sporting director, taking over from Medhi Benatia. Reports from L’Équipe suggest Lorenzi would like to appoint a Frenchman as the next head coach.

Three main names are on the shortlist. Bruno Genesio, who will leave Lille OSC this summer, is one option. Christophe Galtier, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain, is another target even though he currently manages NEOM SC in Saudi Arabia. Galtier hails from the Marseille area and has never hidden his wish to lead his boyhood club.

Adi Hutter provides an alternative choice. The Austrian tactician parted ways with AS Monaco back in autumn and is now available for a new project in France.
