Borussia Mönchengladbach expect to complete the signing of defender David Herold in the coming days. Club sporting director Rouven Schröder addressed journalists on Thursday about the progress of the deal.
“We are on the right track,” Schröder stated. He added that the player must still pass a medical examination. He also stressed that the transfer is not finished until all parties sign the official documents.
The 23-year-old full-back currently plays for Karlsruher SC in the second tier. He has provided eight assists from 34 matches during this campaign. Herold operates primarily as a left-back and will strengthen Gladbach’s defensive options for the upcoming season.
