Harry Kane and Michael Olise currently spearhead Bayern Munich’s offensive play, yet they might have worn the blue jersey of Paris Saint-Germain instead. A recent report suggests the pair both turned down opportunities to join the French champions.

According to L’Équipe, the renowned French sports daily, an unnamed source within PSG revealed that discussions took place with both athletes. However, neither player felt convinced enough to commit to the Paris-based outfit.

The England captain became available in 2023 following the exits of global stars Lionel Messi and Neymar from the Parc des Princes. Paris Saint-Germain identified Kane as a prime target to strengthen their attack. Despite initial talks, the striker reportedly felt uncertain about the club’s direction. He subsequently completed his high-profile transfer to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

History repeated itself twelve months later with Michael Olise. The talented winger faced a similar choice between the German and French powerhouses. After considering his options, the French youth international also selected Bayern Munich over a return to his home country.

Both footballers now contribute to the Bavarian side’s domestic and European campaigns, having opted for the Allianz Arena despite strong interest from Ligue 1.
