Randal Kolo Muani has resumed training with Paris Saint-Germain’s reserve squad as negotiations with Juventus over a permanent transfer reach a stalemate. The 27-year-old France international, who previously enjoyed a productive loan spell in Turin during 2025, is now working with the club’s Espoirs side alongside fellow outcast Renato Sanches while awaiting clarity on his future.

Valuation gap blocks move

The two clubs remain significantly apart on the striker’s price. Reports differ on PSG’s current demands, with figures between €45 million and €55 million cited by separate sources. Juventus, meanwhile, have tabled an offer of €35 million plus bonuses and are reportedly pushing for a loan arrangement with an obligation to buy rather than an immediate permanent deal.

The Bianconeri’s preference for a temporary solution stems partly from Kolo Muani’s patchy recent form. Following his 2025 stint in Serie A, the forward managed just five goals and four assists in 41 appearances during a loan at Tottenham Hotspur in 2025-26. Despite this downturn, Juventus retain interest in reuniting with the player, though they consider PSG’s valuation excessive.

Contract complications

Kolo Muani’s contractual situation strengthens PSG’s negotiating position. He remains tied to the Parc des Princes until June 2028, leaving the Ligue 1 champions under no pressure to sanction a cut-price departure despite his exclusion from first-team preparations.

He finds himself in familiar company with Renato Sanches, who has also been relegated to the Espoirs group after returning from an unproductive loan at Panathinaikos. Unlike Kolo Muani, the Portuguese midfielder has just one year remaining on his contract, potentially making his departure more straightforward.

Uncertain future

With the new season approaching, Kolo Muani faces the prospect of footballing limbo. Unless Juventus increase their bid or PSG soften their stance, the forward risks spending the coming months outside the senior set-up despite his international pedigree and previous success in Italy.
