Olympique Lyonnais forward Enzo Molebe is set to continue his development in Switzerland after agreeing a loan move to FC Lausanne-Sport. The 18-year-old will join the Swiss Super League side without an option to make the transfer permanent, according to reports in L’Équipe.
The French Under-19 international moves despite attracting strong interest from clubs in his homeland. The deal represents a strategic loan for Lyon, who hold the player’s contract until 2029 and appear keen to manage his progression carefully.
Previous loan spell and form
Molebe arrives in Switzerland following a productive stint at Montpellier HSC during the second half of the 2025-26 season. The right-footed forward scored twice and provided one assist for the Ligue 2 side, earning him recognition as one of the club’s brighter prospects.
Those displays prompted interest from multiple suitors ahead of the current window. However, Lyon have opted for a move that keeps Molebe within the INEOS sporting network while exposing him to a different competitive environment.
Rivals withdraw from race
Lausanne-Sport beat off competition from OGC Nice to secure the teenager’s services. The Ligue 1 side, which shares ownership with the Swiss club under the INEOS group, had previously been linked with a move for Molebe.
ESTAC Troyes also attempted to sign the forward following their promotion to the top flight. The newly-promoted side eventually withdrew from negotiations, with sources indicating the financial demands exceeded their budget constraints.
International credentials and future path
Molebe has earned six caps for France at Under-19 level, scoring three goals. His contract with Lyon runs for another four years, suggesting the loan forms part of a structured development plan rather than a prelude to a permanent departure.
The teenager will aim to secure regular first-team football in the Swiss Super League, building upon the senior experience he gained in the French second tier. Successful performances could position him for a return to Lyon with a stronger claim for Ligue 1 minutes.
