ESTAC Troyes have reportedly identified Jérémy Le Douaron and Enzo Molebe as priority attacking targets ahead of their return to Ligue 1. The newly promoted French side are actively seeking reinforcements to strengthen their forward line and avoid a repeat of their previous relegation from the top flight.
City Group links
Le Douaron, 28, currently represents Palermo FC in Italy’s second tier. The forward is no stranger to French football, having previously made nearly 130 Ligue 1 appearances for Stade Brestois, contributing 20 goals and 10 assists during his time in Brittany. His potential move to Troyes would be facilitated by the City Group network, as both the French club and the Italian side operate under the same ownership umbrella.
Molebe, 18, offers a contrasting profile. The young attacker was on loan from Olympique Lyonnais to Montpellier HSC during the second half of last season. Troyes view the teenager as a long-term prospect and hope to secure his services permanently, capitalising on his uncertain future in Lyon’s first-team setup.
Top-flight preparations
Troyes clinched the Ligue 2 title to secure an immediate return to the elite division. Their previous top-flight spell ended disappointingly in 2023 when they finished 19th and dropped back down after just one season. The club are now determined to build a competitive squad capable of establishing long-term stability at the highest level.
Le Douaron would bring proven Ligue 1 experience, physical presence and goal threat to the forward line. His familiarity with the division could prove crucial in Troyes’ survival battle. Molebe, meanwhile, offers youthful potential, pace and developmental upside that could benefit the team both immediately and in future campaigns.
Both players would address Troyes’ need for greater attacking depth as they prepare for the rigours of top-tier football. The club’s recruitment strategy appears focused on combining experience with emerging talent.
At present, these developments remain at the preliminary interest stage. No formal agreements have been announced between Troyes and Palermo regarding Le Douaron, nor between Troyes and Lyon for Molebe. Negotiations would need to progress significantly before either deal is concluded.
