Juventus have confirmed the sale of goalkeeper Giovanni Daffara to Parma. The deal for the 21-year-old academy graduate is believed to be worth approximately €6 million plus performance-related add-ons, with the Bianconeri retaining a 20 per cent stake in any future transfer.

Daffara developed through the Juventus Next Gen system but spent last season on loan with Avellino in Serie B, where he gained regular senior experience. The Italy youth international never made a competitive first-team appearance for Juventus, prompting the club to sanction his permanent departure.

Suzuki set for summer departure

The transfer indicates that Japan international Zion Suzuki will likely leave Turin this summer. The 22-year-old’s reputation grew substantially during the 2026 World Cup, where he produced several outstanding performances for Japan before their Round of 32 exit.

During the tournament, Suzuki particularly impressed in Japan’s defeat to Brazil, denying Vinicius Jr on multiple occasions with sharp reflexes. These displays have attracted interest from clubs in England and Germany, with Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Aston Villa all linked with moves.

Parma signal ambition

The substantial investment in Daffara suggests Parma intend to install the young goalkeeper as their first-choice option for the upcoming campaign. Having established himself in Serie B with Avellino, Daffara will now look to make the step up in his development.

Juventus are positioning themselves to command a considerable fee for Suzuki, capitalising on his enhanced profile following the World Cup. The club appear ready to reshape their goalkeeping department, with both Daffara and Suzuki poised to depart within the same transfer window.
