Eighteen-year-old Bosnia international Kerim Alajbegović has completed his transfer to Juventus from Bayer Leverkusen, expressing immense pride after being unveiled as a Bianconeri player on Sunday. The teenage attacker described the switch to the Serie A side as “a great honour” and insists he feels prepared for the challenges ahead.
Speaking via the club’s official channels, Alajbegović revealed he experienced “wonderful emotions” during his first visit to the Allianz Stadium. He is eager to settle quickly in Turin and demonstrate the creative qualities that persuaded the Italian giants to secure his services from the German club.
Attacking profile
Alajbegović characterises himself as “a player who likes to have the ball” and emphasised his willingness to shoot, dribble, create chances and play forward passes. He intends to channel his energy into attacking contributions while adapting to the tactical demands of Serie A.
The move represents a significant step in the youngster’s career. Having developed within the Leverkusen system, he now faces the task of breaking into a Juventus squad that competes for domestic trophies and European qualification.
International pedigree
The winger has already tasted high-pressure encounters against Italian opposition. In March, he converted his penalty during Bosnia’s shootout victory over Italy in a World Cup qualifier, a result that eliminated the Azzurri from contention for the 2026 tournament.
That performance offered Alajbegović a glimpse of the quality he will face weekly in Serie A. Reflecting on the match, he acknowledged the difficulty of facing the national team but believes the experience proved he can compete at this level.
He feels “ready for Serie A and for Italian football” and stated that he will “work hard to improve”. The teenager also wants to “adapt very quickly and show my qualities” as he begins life in Turin, offering a message to young players that self-belief can lead to great achievements.
