  • Allegri’s deal contains an automatic extension until 2028 worth €6 million per season.
  • The clause only triggers if Milan secure Champions League qualification this term.
  • The manager demands the squad grows from 19 to at least 25 players this summer.
  • He wants full control over transfers without backstage interference.
  • Club owner Gerry Cardinale has publicly supported the coach’s position.

Massimiliano Allegri is ready to stay on as AC Milan manager next season, but only if the club meets two strict demands. The Italian coach wants heavy spending on new players and a promise that boardroom battles will not disturb his work.

Sources close to the Rossoneri say Allegri’s current deal includes an automatic extension option. If Milan finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League, his contract will run until June 2028. He would earn around €6 million per year after tax.

However, the 56-year-old has made it clear that money alone is not enough. First, he insists the squad needs major strengthening. At present, Milan have only 19 outfield players. Allegri believes they need at least 25 to compete in Europe. He wants a mix of experienced stars and young talent who suit his tactical plans.

Crucially, the former Juventus boss wants full control when buying players. He expects the club to listen when he asks for specific signings. If he wants a new centre-forward, he expects the board to deliver one without argument.

Second, Allegri wants clear lines of authority. He is tired of internal fights and secret interference in team matters. Club owner Gerry Cardinale appears to agree. He recently praised Allegri in public and seems ready to back his vision.

All sides plan to hold a final meeting once the season ends to seal the agreement.
