Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has confirmed he will hold decisive talks with striker Ché Adams over his future at the Serie A club, with the Scotland international reportedly attracting interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Venezia.

Speaking at the unveiling of new coach Ignazio Abate, Petrachi revealed that discussions with Adams will take place once the 29-year-old returns from holiday. The striker has less than a year remaining on his contract, placing his long-term future at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in doubt.

“Currently, he’s on holiday, lucky him,” Petrachi said, smiling (via TMW). “When he returns, we’ll talk.” The director explained that they would “see what he wants to do,” noting that Adams “received a request in January” and “made himself available to stay,” with an agreement to revisit the matter during the summer window.

Adams joined Torino on a free transfer from Sunderland in 2024 and has just completed his second season with the Granata. During the January transfer window, the forward opted to remain at the club despite the approach, but with his deal now entering its final 12 months, Torino face a decision over whether to sell the striker this summer or risk losing him for nothing in 2027.

While English club Wolves and Serie A side Venezia have both been linked with moves for the forward, no formal agreements have been announced.

Simeone and Vlasic set to stay

In contrast to Adams’ uncertain status, Petrachi expressed strong confidence that attackers Giovanni Simeone and Nikola Vlasic will remain at Torino for the 2026-27 campaign. The sporting director revealed he personally asked Vlasic to stay, describing the Croatian as “a player worthy of Toro.”

Meanwhile, veteran striker Duvan Zapata has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract. Petrachi confirmed the Colombian accepted a reduced salary spread over a longer term, praising him as a “silent leader” who provides wisdom despite speaking little.

Simeone, who had previously pushed for a return to Argentina with River Plate, has also been persuaded to remain. Petrachi explained that the forward had considered moving home for family reasons but has since recommitted after Abate held a 30-minute conversation with him. The striker has since returned to training with renewed determination, Petrachi noted.

The resolution of Adams’ future now represents one of the remaining pieces of Torino’s summer business, with Petrachi’s forthcoming discussions set to determine whether the Scotland striker extends his stay in Turin or seeks a new challenge elsewhere.
