Fiorentina have made significant moves in the final hours of the Italian transfer window, securing an agreement for Portuguese winger Pedro Goncalves and confirming the sale of midfielder Rolando Mandragora to Torino.

Goncalves Arrives on Loan

The Viola have agreed a loan deal with Sporting CP for Pedro Goncalves, which includes an option to make the move permanent. The agreement for the 28-year-old winger is reported to involve a total option to buy worth €25 million. This figure comprises a €2.5 million loan fee, with an additional €22.5 million option to buy at the end of the season. This option could become an obligation if certain conditions are met.

Goncalves, who has earned four senior caps for Portugal, has been a key player for Sporting CP since his €13.5 million transfer from Famalicão in 2020.

Mandragora Departs, Gineitis to Celtic

In a related development, Fiorentina have completed the sale of Rolando Mandragora to Torino. This transfer marks a return to his former club for Mandragora, where he previously spent time on loan from Juventus during the 2021-22 season.

Mandragora’s move to Torino is expected to pave the way for the Turin-based club to sell Gvidas Gineitis to Scottish champions Celtic. The 22-year-old Lithuania international has been a long-term target for Celtic, who are now anticipated to finalise his signing.

Transfer Deadline Looms

These deals come as the Italian transfer window approaches its close. The deadline for finalising transfers in Italy is set for 19:00 UK time (20:00 CEST).
