Zeki Celik has completed a free transfer to Juventus after declining a contract extension at rivals Roma. The Turkish right-back has agreed a deal with the Bianconeri until 2029, with the club confirming the move on Thursday evening. Celik becomes Juventus’ second summer arrival following the acquisition of Jeff Ekhator from Genoa.
Juventus seek further reinforcements
The Turin club remain active in the market as they hunt for attacking reinforcements. According to reports, director Giovanni Carnevali held discussions with manager Roberto De Zerbi regarding potential targets including Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and the London club’s forward Richarlison. Negotiations with midfielder Franck Kessié have stalled, however, with Juventus reportedly unwilling to meet wage demands between €5 million and €6 million per year.
Milan and Como near Premier League deals
AC Milan are close to sanctioning the departure of defender Pervis Estupinan to Aston Villa. The Ecuador international is expected to reunite with former Villarreal manager Unai Emery in a deal worth between €18 million and €20 million. The Rossoneri have invested heavily already this window, spending approximately €100 million on Mario Gila and Gonçalo Ramos, and are now focusing on player sales.
Como continue their ambitious recruitment drive under Cesc Fabregas. The promoted side are reportedly on the verge of securing Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah for a fee of around €35 million, with further talks scheduled between the clubs. The Lombardy club have also secured an agreement for Valerenga Fotball II striker Mohamed El Fezani and confirmed the capture of Mattia Liberali from Catanzaro.
Roma await offers as Bologna progress
Roma are currently operating in sales mode as they look to balance the books. The Giallorossi are expecting Manchester United to make a formal approach for midfielder Manu Koné, though the Frenchman’s representatives are already in dialogue with the Premier League club. Should Koné depart, Celtic’s Arne Engels and Botafogo’s Danilo Santos have been identified as potential replacements. The capital club also face hurdles in securing Diego Moreira from Strasbourg, with their €30 million offer falling short of the French side’s €40 million valuation.
Bologna are close to completing the signing of Estudiantes holding midfielder Mikel Amondarain for approximately €8 million. Meanwhile, Sassuolo have opened discussions over a potential return for veteran defender Francesco Acerbi following his release from Inter.
